Christmas Is The Time For Reconciliation

This five-page tract opens with a summary of the conversation between Marley and Kevin from the movie “Home Alone.”   As they are seated in a historical church building on Christmas Eve, Marley explains that he is  there to watch his granddaughter’s choir rehearse because he cannot come to the actual performance because of a broken relationship with son.   Kevin encourages him to call his son and see if they can’t be reconciled.

Broken relationships ruin Christmas for many families and individuals.   An unwillingness to forgive is highlighted as one of the primary reasons for people not being on speaking terms.    Until a person forgives the one who has offended him, he is being controlled by that person.   The time comes to cut the strings and forgive.   The tract concludes with a call for all of us to be reconciled to God through Christ this Christmas season.
