Freedom to do Right or Wrong?

Have you ever thought about how many billions live in nations that do not guarantee the freedom of religion, speech, the press, and assembly?   Citizens of the United States are indeed blessed and privileged with these freedoms and more.

Can these freedoms be taken away?   Attempts have been and will continue to be made to do so.   We must guard them diligently.  Can our freedoms be misused?   Indeed, they can.  Did the young people who died defending our freedom do so for us to do right or wrong?   I submit it was the former.

While this freedom I am addressing refers to citizens of the U.S., there is another freedom that applies to all peoples.  The most important freedom for all is freedom from the penalty and power of sin, both of which are available because of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
